Professional Service Agreement & Liability Terms
By commissioning services from VV Taste Tales, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions regarding the restoration, repair, and handling of luxury leather goods.
1. Nature of Restoration
Leather is a natural, organic material. The outcome of any restoration process depends significantly on the age, previous treatments, and the specific tanning process of the original item. While our artisans utilize the highest quality materials and techniques, VV Taste Tales does not guarantee that an item will return to “factory-new” condition. Variations in texture, grain, and color absorption are inherent to the restoration process.
2. Brand Affiliation
VV Taste Tales is an independent service provider specializing in luxury leather restoration. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized repair center for any of the brands we service (e.g., Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc.). Any brand names, logos, or trademarks mentioned on this website are used solely for identification and descriptive purposes to indicate the types of items we are capable of restoring.
3. Risk of Service
While we take extreme care with every item, certain risks are inherent in chemical cleaning and re-dyeing:
- Invisible Defects: Previous DIY repairs or heavy chemical cleaning by other parties may react unexpectedly with our professional-grade solvents.
- Color Matching: We strive for a 100% color match; however, slight variances may occur due to lighting conditions and the natural porosity of the leather.
- Hardware: We do not replace internal mechanical components of zippers or locks unless explicitly stated in the service agreement.
4. Limitation of Liability
VV Taste Tales maintains comprehensive insurance for items in our possession. In the unlikely event of loss or irreparable damage caused directly by our negligence, our liability is limited to the current fair market value of the item in its pre-restored condition, or a maximum cap as defined in our full Terms of Service, whichever is lower. We are not liable for sentimental value or indirect losses.
5. Authenticity
We reserve the right to refuse service on items we believe to be counterfeit. The restoration of a counterfeit item by VV Taste Tales does not constitute an appraisal or validation of the item’s authenticity.
6. Estimates and Timelines
All quotes provided via digital assessment (email/WhatsApp) are preliminary. A final, binding quote will be issued only after a physical inspection of the item at our atelier. While we provide estimated completion dates, these are not guaranteed, as the drying and curing phases of high-end leather work are subject to environmental variables.
7. Unclaimed Items
Items left at our atelier for more than 90 days after the completion of service and notification of the client will be considered abandoned and may be sold or disposed of to recover service costs.
